down. It is now running.

been resolved.

problem - broken fiber optic connector.

Hall fixed.
- 2/7/2008 - 12:30 PM - 1:05 PM - MSU's Ethernet network
connection to Erickson Hall failed. It has been temporarily
replaced by a standby connection.
- 1/12/2008 2:00 PM - 1/13/2007 1:00 AM - DNS server
malfunction stopped all outside communication with college
servers.
- 1/9/2008 - 12:20 PM - The college listserv is now
functional.
- 1/8/2008 - 3:00 PM - EDWEBDB is now operational.
EDVIDEO data is being transferred to a new server which
should be available later this week.
- 1/7/2008 - 8:00 AM -
Water leakage into Erickson Hall resulted in EDWEBDB and EDVIDEO
being temporarily shut down. The college Listserv will
not be in operation until further notice.
- 12/17/2007 - 7:00 AM - Exchange server calendar access for
users with MSU id's beginning with J, K or L will not be
available for most of today due to necessary maintenance.
- 12/26/2007 - 9:30 AM - The Exchange mail server was
interrupted periodically during the Christmas break due to a
problem with the MSU Mail system.
- 12/16/2007 - five hour Ethernet outage on 2nd floor to facilitate network upgrade.
- 12/15/2007 - One hour Ethernet outages on 3rd and 4th floor to facilitate network upgrade.
- 12/14/2007 - 4:15 PM - 5:00 PM - Ethernet outage in 116 area. Problem isolated to a single machine - Port#40 in 118 area

- 11/20/2007 8:00 AM - Retrospect backup server is experiencing technical difficulties.
- 11/17/2007 - ED-DE database problem. Reset at 6:12 PM
- 11/17/2007 - 8:00 AM - 4:25 PM EDMail problem - server down during this period.
- 10/10/2007 - 10:10 AM EDMail fixed.
- 10/10/2007 - 8:10 AM - EDMail exchange connections stopped working after Microsoft upgrade. Problem identified at 9:30 AM.
- 10/10/2007 - 8:00 AM Multiple servers restarted due to scheduled maintenance.
- 10/9/2007 - 10/8/2007 - Automated file backup system is back on-line.
- 10/8/2007 - Ethernet switches serving 116 area resequenced. 1 GBIC replaced. Cooling issue still being evaluated.
- 10/8/2007 - 9:00 AM users from 116 reports internet access not available. Switches reset.
- 10/8/2007 - Automated file backup software still giving problems. Users report not being backed up.
- 10/5/2007 - Automated file backup software updated to resolve reports from users this week that their PCs have not been backed up.

- 9/28/2007 - Bad Ethernet port for tech cart in 107 EH fixed by securing loose punch down port in 134 wiring closet.

- 9/21/2007 - Fiber optic patch cable replaced in 116 wiring closet.
- 9/20/2007 - Cooling problem resolved in 116 wiring closet.
- 9/20/2007 - 8:15 AM - several users in 116 have no network connection.
- 9/5/2007 - 5:35 PM - 5:45 PM EDC1 down for scheduled maintenance.

- 8/31/2007 - Networked computers and printers in middle of 3rd floor EH offices wired to new Ethernet ports in floor; temporary wiring taken down from ceiling.
