Procedures for Building an AFS Home Directory

Step 1: In the Technology Exploration Center, choose the Telnet 2.5 application from the Communications Folder on EHServerHD. Under the "File" menu, choose "Open Connection."

Step 2: Connect to the pilot server.

Step 3: Enter your 8-character "Pilot ID" and then your "Pilot Password" after the prompts.

Step 4: Select the "Advanced features" option from the opening screen of Pilot.

Step 5: Select "AFS home directory" from the [Advanced features] menu screen, and read the instructions. If you want to establish your AFS home directory on the AFS server, reply "yes" to the prompt.

Now, "Quit" the Telnet application.
