Jan Prybys received her BA in Elementary Education and her MA in Testing and Measurement from Michigan State University. She was an elementary school teacher in the St. Johns Public Schools and the Haslett Public Schools. During her teaching career, Jan served as grade level chair, school improvement team chair, teacher leader and served on numerous committees at the building and district level. In 2005, Jan joined the Launch Into Teaching: Partnerships to Support Beginning Teacher Learning project in the College of Education at Michigan State University. Her work on this project includes: development of mentor curriculum, facilitating mentor study groups, facilitating professional development for teachers, coaching mentors, as well as coordinating grants related to this work.
