The Get a Job Conference is an annual event that allows current teaching interns to gain experience interviewing with professionals in the field. Held at Erickson Hall, our more “seasoned” alumni are paired one on one to help new graduates gain the practical skills needed for future interviews. Interviews are matched according to area of interest, elementary, secondary, special education, and K-12 (art, music, physical education and kinesiology).
This year’s conference will be held on Saturday, in early/mid-March 2013, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in Erickson Hall. To volunteer at the event, contact Mark Dziatczak (mdziatczack2@troy.k12.mi.us).

Grandparents University is a program for alumni and grandchildren (ages 8-12) to come together for a three-day educational experience while spending time together on the MSU campus. Participants enjoy the college experience of living in a residence hall, attending classes across campus and sampling the many highlights of MSU. Grandparents University gives alumni a chance to relive their college days while exploring campus and creating lifelong memories with their grandchildren. College of Education professors, staff, graduate students and Alumni Association Board Members have all served as class facilitators.
