Broad Future Teachers Award

This is your invitation to participate in a degree program designed to develop highly-trained urban educators. This award includes:
  1. Financial support to cover the full cost of attendance at MSU's highly-regarded College of Education.
  2. Opportunity for summer transition-to-teaching fellowship in the Detroit Public Schools.
  3. Priority employment consideration in the Detroit Public Schools upon program completion.
Criteria for Application
  • Graduate of the Detroit Public Schools
  • Admission to MSU
  • 3.2 GPA or higher
  • ACT or SAT scores will be considered
  • Writing sample
  • Interview
  • Recommendation of high school teacher, counselor, or community representative
  • Commitment to teach in Detroit Public Schools upon program completion
Completed applications are due no later than March 28, 2008.
