College wins national ADDY for Annual Report
6-11-09

Emily Brozovic
The College of Education has received a prestigious National Silver ADDY Award for its 2007-2008 Annual Report.

Graphic artist Emily Brozovic accepted the honor during a final ceremony for the creative awards program on June 6 in Washington, D.C., where the publication was in competition with entries from major advertising and design firms from across the country. The College of Education was one of only two winners from Michigan.

Brozovic created the Annual Report’s innovation design while communications manager Nicole Geary wrote and edited the content featuring College of Education programs and distinctions. The pair, along with Millbrook Printing of Grand Ledge, Mich., also earned awards for their work at the regional and local levels of the ADDY competition.

The Annual Report received a Silver ADDY in the District 6 component of the competition, which included entries from Michigan, Illinois and Indiana. In the Lansing-area competition, the publication received a Gold ADDY – the highest designation – and was named Best of Show among all printed materials submitted to the local club, Mid-Michigan Creative Alliance.

The ADDY Awards, which recognize all forms of advertising from media of all types, are sponsored by the American Advertising Federation.

The College of Education’s Annual Report also received an Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards, a creative competition for various communications professionals organized by the International Academy of the Visual Arts.
