Duties/Requirements:
The Graduate Assistant coordinates orders for course clinical materials with the Clinical GA, checks out course-related materials to students, and coordinates supervision of work in practicum sites with Clinical GA. The Graduate Assistant also provides supervision for the fieldwork component in the following courses:
Fall 2007: CEP 893K (Year 2 Practicum), CEP 886 Psychological Assessment and Intervention II. The Graduate Assistant will help instructors with the practicum components of coursework, supervise student work in practicum sites, conduct site visits in the field, and communicate with field supervisors.
Spring 2008: CEP 893K (Year 2 Practicum), CEP 888 Theories of Child Psychotherapy, CEP 889 Consultation in School Psychology.). The Graduate Assistant will help instructors with the practicum components of coursework, supervise student work in practicum sites, conduct site visits in the field, and communicate with field supervisors.
Supervising Faculty: the instructors of the associated courses supervise this TA: Dr. Jean Baker.
Desired Qualifications:
1. Background, knowledge, competencies and skills in school psychology
2. Completion of a minimum of 400 hours of school psychology practicum
3. Knowledge of MSU School Psychology training program, philosophy, and model
Training: Graduate assistants are required to attend orientation meetings prior to the start of fall semester.
Mentoring and Monitoring: Graduate Assistants will meet weekly or bi-weekly with faculty supervisor.
Evaluation: Graduate assistants are evaluated at least once each semester. Written and verbal feedback will be provided
