Semesters Offered: Spring
Duties: Teaching duties on KIN 217, “Applied Human Anatomy Laboratory” include: Guide undergraduates in the study of human anatomy through a systems approach; Give 3-4 lectures on related anatomy concepts; Oversee undergraduate teaching assistants; Attend and supervise all laboratory sessions; Develop, set up, and grade practical exams and quizzes; Supervise optional evening open lab sessions; And maintain grade records. This course is required for all KIN majors.
Supervising Faculty: Faculty members in Exercise Physiology
Desired Qualifications: (1) Experience as course assistant in KIN 217 (2) academic background in medical anatomy courses and/or (3) prosection experience.
Orientation and Training: Graduate assistants are required to attend orientation prior to the start of fall semester that includes participation in the All-University TA program. Staff development activities include participation in in-service workshops as well as policy staff meetings throughout the academic year.
Mentoring and Monitoring: Graduate assistants are observed and evaluated at least once each semester. Written and verbal feedback is provided after each observation. Copies of the written evaluation, course materials, and SIRS are kept in the graduate assistant’s file.
