2007-08 Graduate Assistantships
Teaching Position: KIN 340 Psychological Bases of Physical Activity

Semesters Offered: Fall/Spring

Duties: Teaching duties on KIN 340, Psychological Bases of Physical Activity. This course is a requirement for all KIN majors.  Responsible for (1) preparing lectures, course materials, assignments and examinations; (2) providing feedback to students relative to assignments and tests.   

Supervising Faculty: Dr. Martha Ewing

Desired Qualifications: Students who desire to teach this course should have: a) previous college teaching experience in Kinesiology or Physical Education; b) academic course work in graduate level sport psychology; and c) Master’s degree in Kinesiology or Physical Education.

Orientation and Training: Graduate assistants are required to attend orientation prior to the start of fall semester that includes participation in the All-University TA program.  Staff development activities include participation in in-service workshops as well as policy staff meetings throughout the academic year.

Mentoring and Monitoring: Graduate assistants are observed and evaluated at least once each semester.  Written and verbal feedback is provided after each observation.  Copies of the written evaluation, course materials, and SIRS are kept in the graduate assistant’s file.
