Semesters Offered: Fall/Spring
Duties: Teaching duties on KIN 370, “Proseminar in Kinesiology”. This course is required for all KIN majors. Content includes philosophical perspectives in kinesiology, sport, and exercise science. Responsible for (1) preparing lectures (2) providing feedback in career preparation activities.
Supervising Faculty: Dr. Deb Feltz
Desired Qualifications: (1) Experience as intern in KIN 370 (2) Experience in cooperative/collaborative learning strategies (3) Knowledge of philosophical perspectives (4) knowledge of career preparation skills.
Orientation and Training: Graduate assistants are required to attend orientation prior to the start of fall semester that includes participation in the All-University TA program. Staff development activities include participation in in-service workshops as well as policy staff meetings throughout the academic year.
Mentoring and Monitoring: Graduate assistants are observed and evaluated at least once each semester. Written and verbal feedback is provided after each observation. Copies of the written evaluation, course materials, and SIRS are kept in the graduate assistant’s file.
