Duties: CEP 260, Dynamics of Personal Adjustment examines various psychological theories of human adjustment and their implications for effective learning, self-development, and social interaction. The graduate assistant will be available to teaching assistants for consultation and assistance with the early phases of course planning. The graduate assistant will meet regularly with the teaching assistants for consultation and support in course design and instruction throughout the year. The graduate assistant will also assist the supervising faculty member with supervision, observation, and evaluation of teaching assistants.

Desired Qualifications:
1. Masters degree in school or counseling psychology or related field desirable
2. Experience teaching CEP 260 Dynamics of Personal Adjustment
Orientation and Training: The graduate assistant will be sent the course textbook and supplementary materials by mid-May. The supervising faculty will be available for consultation and orientation to the duties. Graduate students are expected to attend the teaching assistant orientation prior to the start of fall semester if not already completed. The orientation covers a broad range of topics related to effective college teaching and curriculum design. Weekly or bi-weekly meetings for professional development are offered during the first semester of teaching.
Mentoring, Monitoring, and Evaluation: The Graduate Assistant will meet weekly or bi-weekly with the faculty supervisor. The Graduate Assistant is evaluated at least once each semester. Written and verbal feedback will be provided.
