Semesters Offered: Fall/Spring/Summer
Duties: This course is a required course for education certification candidates. The instructor is responsible for conducting all class sessions and assessing students in line with the common course syllabus and assignments. Graduate student instructors selected for this course will receive initial and ongoing staff development under guidance of a faculty member to assist in teaching this course.

Desired Qualifications:
1. Experience teaching college students or K-12 students
2. Background in educational psychology, preferably at least a year of graduate study
Orientation and Training: Graduate student instructors are required to attend orientation prior to the start of fall semester. Weekly or bi-weekly meetings for professional development are required through the first year of teaching the course. (Less frequent meetings for professional development are also required for experienced instructors of TE/CEP 150.)
Mentoring, Monitoring, and Evaluation: Graduate student instructors are observed and evaluated at least once each semester. Written and verbal feedback is provided after each observation. Copies of the written evaluation and SIRS are kept in the graduate student instructor's file.
