Duties: Design, implement and manage complex educational initiatives in the Office of K-12 Outreach in the College of Education. Act as liaison between the Office of K-12 Outreach and the Educational Policy Center. Interact with education association executives, school district administrators, and representatives from state and federal education departments.
Qualification: Master’s degree in relevant field. The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of K-12 education structure and policy, especially in the State of Michigan and be able to apply this knowledge to the grant writing component of this position. At least 5 years of experience in education, with preference given to urban and/or international school experience. Demonstrated success in obtaining and managing significant K-12 education grants at the state and federal Levels. Must have strong verbal, technical, and written communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be high energy and willing to travel on a regular basis within the state of Michigan.
