UPCOMING EVENTS New International higher education policy course offered : We are delighted to announce a new, international model of instruction for the HALE program at Michigan State University. As a direct result of a conference of scholars supported by the the Center last spring, EAD 964, International Higher Education Policy will be co-taught by scholars from the European Union, the United States, and China. This unique format will provide students with multiple perspectives on emerging global issues and solutions in higher educational policy. Instructors: Dr. Jim Fairweather, Dr. Wanhua Ma (China), and Dr. Seppo H?ltt? (Finland).
CENTER SUPPORTED STUDENT ACTIVITIES: The Center for Higher and Adult Education is proud to announce that it is sponsoring Dr. Marylee Davis’ EAD 967 policy course to travel to Washington D.C. in early October. Twenty students will spend 3-4 days in the nation’s capital visiting organizations like the American Council on Education (ACE) and the Association of International Educators (NAFSA) learning about national education policy. Upon their return, Dr. Davis will give a brown bag luncheon talk on the experience.For more information, please click here. CENTER SUPPORTED DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES: Over the past year, the Center has supported an ongoing mission between the HALE faculty and several universities and colleges in China.
