Principal Support

Without administrative support, programs under serve those who need them most. Launch into Teaching provides opportunities for collaboration with principals within and across districts through:

I learned how important it was just to have a conversation with my beginning teachers. And saying “hi” is not a conversation! It’s pulling them in so that they want to speak to you, not just think there is something wrong. I became more purposeful in going to them.

  • Online Modules: Contact us to learn about how we can meet your specific needs.
  • Principal Study Groups: We are prepared to provide extended support to leaders within a district either on site, via polycom or online. The Principal Study Group enables principals to understand new models of mentoring and instructional coaching and begin developing ways to support this work. Principals learn ways to develop and assess teachers, mentors, and instructional coaches through strong and effective instructional leadership practices that encourage collaboration among peers.
  • Principal Meetings: District wide principal meetings provide additional opportunities to build understanding around topics such as induction, standards-based assessment, student achievement, and teacher professional development. These can be facilitated on site or via polycom. Through working with Launch into Teaching, principals can create a self sustaining model across the district.
  • Online Resources: Access resources that help administrators in their role of supporting and fostering teacher development. ASSIST offers guidance to administrators around topics such as cultivating a school district that supports induction and teacher development, creating professional learning communities, and working with teachers.
