Reasons to Apply to the Deaf Education Program
Michigan State University's Deaf Education Program is rapidly becoming one of the premier teacher preparation programs in the nation. Co-Directors, Dr. Harold Johnson and Dr. Claudia Pagliaro, have developed an innovative undergraduate program within the field of Deaf Education that provides each prospective teacher with the options of Auditory-Oral, Bilingual, or Consulting Teacher concentration areas. Each concentration area allows for more in-depth coursework within the student's program of study. Additionally, Michigan State University is proud to offer an Endorsement Only option as well as a Master's Program with specialization in Math/Science or Parent Infant. MSU also offers a Doctoral Program in Special Education-Deaf Education.
