Clark and lani ford endowed scholarship in math and science education

Selection Criteria:

Recipients shall be undergraduate and/or students in their internship year enrolled in a secondary education program in the College of Education with a major in mathematics, chemistry or physics.  Recipients will be selected based on academic merit. 

Biographical Information:

Clark and Lani Ford spent their careers as professors at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  Lani retired in 1996 from the Education Leadership Department in the College of Education.  Clark retired in 2003 from the College of Business in the area of Business Education and Communications.  This scholarship honors their life’s work and their passion for education.

The Ford’s met while teaching in a high school in Fairbanks, Alaska.  They married in 1965 and together attended Michigan State University receiving their Ph.D.’s from the College of Education; Clark in Curriculum in 1970 and Lani in secondary education in 1971.
