Biographical Information
David Hollister began a teaching career
in 1965 and after six years of public service as a county commissioner,
he was elected to the position of State Representative from Lansing
in 1974, serving until December 1993. He was elected Mayor of Lansing
in November of 1993, and was re-elected to a second four-year term
which began on January 1, 1998.
Bill Ballenger is a former Michigan state
representative and state senator, an ex-state racing commissioner,
and director of the Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulation.
Mr. Ballenger also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S.
Department of Health, Education & Welfare in the administration of
President Gerald R. Ford.
