Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology – PETE Emphasis
A moratorium on admission to the Kinesiology teaching track (physical education teacher education) takes effect SS10 and discontinuation of the physical education teacher education (PETE) option has been requested through academic governance. Students currently in the program must complete their certification by SS14.
Why Study Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE)?
The Department of Kinesiology offers undergraduate majors in athletic training and kinesiology. There are two emphases within the kinesiology major, namely exercise science and PETE. The PETE emphasis is designed for students who wish to teach physical education in K-12 school systems.
