Academic and K-12 outreach are critical components of the College of Education.
Office of Academic Outreach - Academic Outreach programs take the College of Education's wealth of knowledge and faculty experience on-line and to locations across Michigan and the world. Graduate courses in education are now offered On-line as well as a new completely On-line Master of Arts in Education. The college's Off-Campus Credit Programs (OCCP) offer courses in three locations: Birmingham, Grand Rapids and Traverse City. Graduate Studies in Education Overseas (GSEO) provides international school educators with courses and programs throughout the world.
Office of K-12 Outreach - supports students, teachers, administrators and policymakers involved in K-12 education in Michigan by acting as a bridge between the research and school communities. K-12 Outreach is actively involved in state-federally - and foundation-funded grant projects that respond to classroom, building and district needs by bringing together world-class faculty and accomplished practitioners. K-12 Outreach hosts a series of programs, conferences and institutes that provide unique professional development opportunities to a wide range of audiences, and often represents the college and university in stakeholder associations, meeting and initiatives. The Data Service Unit specializes in providing training in data identification, collection, management and analysis, and consultant basis. Data Services offers a broad range of workshops and training programs.
