Our faculty is renowned for national and international expertise in multiple areas of literacy study and K-12 practice. We are particularly noted for our strong university-school connections and our emphasis on teacher education as it relates to literacy. Our research is disseminated and valued throughout a wide variety of institutions and among practitioners.

Our programs are at the center of rich networks of policy and practice. Our Master's Program in Literacy, designed for practicing teachers, focuses on classroom literacy and is offered through the Department of Teacher Education. At the doctoral level we prepare research scholars and curriculum leaders through either the Department of Teacher Education or the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Special Education. We invite you to explore our distinguished array of diverse research and teaching and learning opportunities.
