MSU's Student Affairs Adminstration master's degree program is designed for the those who desire to become leaders and administrators in colleges and universities in the student affairs functional areas of residence life, student activities, academic advising, career development, financial aid, admissions, Greek affairs, student health and wellness education, orientation, and multicultural programs. Students take courses in administration, student development, higher education foundations, and teaching and learning. A strong multicultural theme is interwoven into most coursework. All students are required to take two practica/internships and most hold graduate assistantships in various programs and offices at MSU. The program is well-established in the profession of student affairs, with alumni serving as chief student affairs officers, leaders of professional associations, and scholars in student development and higher education.
