College of Education Scholarships
Deadline is January 15, 2010 (5:00 PM)
The College of Education offers an increasing number of scholarships for undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students which have been funded by gifts from faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the College.
In all cases, the criteria for each scholarship will be the basis for selecting the recipients. However, unless specified by the scholarship criteria, preference in awarding the scholarships goes to: (1) elementary, special education and kinesiology majors, (2) students with a cumulative grade point average above a 3.0, (3) students who will have earned a minimum of 56 credits by the end of the spring semester in which application is made, (4) students who have been admitted to the College of Education teacher education program or kinesiology major, (5) undergraduates, and (6) those with completed applications including the three references. Students will be notified of their selection for the scholarships in late February and will be recognized at an awards reception at the Kellogg Center on April 9, 2010. Students must attend the awards reception as a condition of receiving a scholarship. Monies for the scholarships are made available to the students as an offset against tuition in the following fall and spring semesters.
