Intern Scholarship
*Applications open Feb 19 - march 10

The College of Education invites students who anticipate completing their 2008-2009 internship year in an urban school (preference given to Chicago and Detroit) to apply for a scholarship. You must include your resume, essay about your teaching goals and financial need. Two additional questions must be answered as part of the internship scholarship application. No references are required for consideration.

These scholarships will be awarded to students intending to intern in an urban school and who demonstrate financial need. Scholarships may be requested for small amounts of funding and up to $3000 may be awarded if financial need is demonstrated. A completed application including resume, personal statement about teaching goals, and financial need is required for consideration. Describe financial need including educational loans, how you have accumulated debt, how you have financed college, jobs held, hours worked, etc., under the ‘Other Relevant Information’ in the Financial Need section. Students are encouraged to complete financial aid applications in the MSU financial aid office prior to applying for these scholarships since unmet need is primarily considered in awarding these scholarships. You must demonstrate significant financial need to be considered for the scholarship. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EVIDENCE OF FINANCIAL NEED!

This scholarship is not open to individuals majoring in communicative sciences and disorders, music or art.
