Below are several examples of concentration options within the MATC program. This list is by no means exhaustive and will be added to/modified on a continuing basis. Students should meet with their advisor to discuss any of these options as well as other possibilities.

Additional Endorsement Options
The Department of Teacher Education in conjunction with the Dept of Linguistics has been approved for a new ESL K-12 Additional Endorsement at the graduate level. Students can complete requirements for the K-12 ESL Additional Endorsement as part of the MATC.
ESL Endorsement Option (32 Credits*)
*This "MA-plus" program is 32 credits. Note that the ESL endorsement option is "requirement-heavy" with no (typically) room for electives other than those specificed below. The MATC Concentration, typically 9 credits, is 8 in the ESL endorsement option with 15 credits of additional requirements utilizing the elective block(which is normlally 12 credits in the regular MATC)

(Note that all courses on the program plan must be taken in order to be recommended for the ESL K-12 Additional Endorsement) Presently, not all courses required for the ESL-MATC are available online.
