Michigan State University is located in East Lansing, Michigan, a city of about 45,000 in the Greater Lansing-East Lansing Metro area (pop. ~450,000) in Michigan's lower peninsula. Lansing (pop ~125,000) is Michigan's capitol and home to Lansing Community College, Michigan's third largest community college.
