| Cheryl Krohn, Project Assistant - Cheryl is a second year doctoral student interested in elementary social studies education, global education, children's literature and African studies. She taught elementary school for four years in the Metro-Detroit area. During her teaching she was able to travel to South Africa and Belize, Central America and because of those travels she is interested in working with teachers to encourage international travel and helping them bring their experiences back into their classroom and school community. She is also interested in looking at how Africa is presented in curricular materials such as children's literature. |
